Tree Reflections on an Adirondack Trail

We are nearing the end of the trail at the Visitor Interpretive Center (VIC) at Paul Smith’s College in the Northern Adirondacks. This is the end of the Heron Marsh Trail and the water is so still it is like a mirror. Here the tall pines from the other side of the creek/ lake are reflected in the water. The marshy boggy water hides all sorts of life in its semi brown color from the tannin. The very short trees on the shoreline are local White Cedar, Tamarac, and Black Spruce.
