While I’ve visited St. Mary’s Glacier during the summer, I’d never visited in the Fall. Autumn on the glacier looks a lot more like winter. While I knew it was going to be much cooler than at lower altitude, I wasn’t expecting quite so much snow. I was generally plenty warm as long as I kept moving. However, the winds near the top of the glacier were whipping along at a pretty good pace. At least I assume I was near the top of the glacier, it was kind of tough to tell with all the snow. Cheers!
