Panorama: Snow and Ice covered Lake Michigan from Berger Park in Chicago, Illinois (2019-02-18 13-52-43 to 13-53-16b)
The photo was taken in Berger Park which is located at Sheridan Road and Granville Avenue in the Edgewater neighborhood od Chicago, Illinois. It is right on the lakefront. The shadows on the snow are from the lakefront high-rises.
The panorama was stitched together using ten photos taken with a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera using Affinity Photo 1.6. It was then cropped to include only the image. Then I saved the result as a PSD file.
I loaded the PSD file into ACDSee Ultimate 2019 and used it to adjust the white balance and levels, increase the contrast and clarity and adjust the levels.

Beautiful photos i love it would love to live thier
During the summer it’s nice but the winters are rough.
The cold weather in the Midwest region of America was very cold according to the reports from The Weather Channel. Now I have seen the proof.
It was worse a few weeks ago. Today it was 30°F. A couple of weeks ago it was -22°F. It was dangerous to go outside.
I know what you mean since cold weather is just as bad as flood weather.
Beautiful view of the lake and clouds in the background
Thank you. I’m glad you liked it.
That’s impressive, but it looks damn cold
It was about 28°F with a breeze that made it feel colder. Below normal but it’s been colder than that lately. The worst part was having to take off my gloves to work the camera.
wind chill factor is a real bitch, and it comes off Lake Michigan like a freight train
Always enjoy your panoramic photos Gary. Beautifully done.
Thanks. It took a bit of editing but I like the way it turned out which is good because I almost froze my butt off getting the picture. 🙂
