In pursuit of Little ringed plover (Charadrius dubius).
At the end of August, the migration of birds from north to south begins, where they will spend the winter.
My friends and I went to one of the places on Via Pontica, where the birds rest and feed during the migration.
Here we came across several Little ringed plover.
This is a migratory bird that nests with us on all beaches on the Black Sea coast near fresh water.
This bird is slightly larger than a starling.
Its color makes it difficult to notice on the shore where it feeds.
It feeds on hard-winged insects and their larvae, crustaceans, snails, worms, small mussels, seeds and other small aquatic animals.
