Hiking around Cloudland Canyon, I came across this tree which had fallen some time ago. If I could have set up the perfect tree shot, this would have been it! The natural spiral of the trunk leads your eyes to the center of the tree. It might have been burned out to prevent termites from moving into the tree, but i don’t know. This was along the easy hiking trail. The first day at the campsite and I am the one who always want to go hiking! It is a long drive anywhere in the RV and once you get out, you want to really stretch your legs for many hours.
