Seal Rock at the New Britain Museum Art

Here we have an oil painting called “Seal Rock” by Albredt Bierstadt, 1887 at the New Britain Museum of Art in Connecticut. He was famous for painting the wilderness of the West in the United States. Just off the coast of San Francisco, California he painted these seals sunning themselves on the mossy rocks. I like the light going through the large wave.
