Family

The other day I attended a funeral. We were not related to the deceased or anyone there. Still we felt like family. Sometimes the bonds between friends are just as strong or stronger than those that are tied by blood.

One of my favorite quotes I have hanging on my wall.

 I have a “very” large family and most of them are inherited. Many of them I may never even meet in person. I have met them over the phone or on line. That doesn’t make them any less family. They are a huge part of my life. They comfort my heart. They make me laugh. They give me hope. There are so many ways to show love.

Most of my friends understand that I feel they are a part of family and I share with them everything I am, everything I have and I don’t have time for regrets. I choose to believe in all things good.  If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, I seek after these things.

The truth is I am blessed with many family members and some of them are here. So this next one is for all of you, because my live would be less without you.
