And Comes The Fourth Generation – part 78

The ‘repairs’ to Miriam House, ( which were totally unnecessary) were paid for by the Board.  Paid for without an eye brow raised, a question asked.

Mollusk and his pal, the ‘Contractor’.  split the take after spending about one quarter of the money extended by the Board  on the work.

The work was done so badly that the paint began chipping off within three months.

The electrical work didn’t last half as long and another electrician had to fix what hadn’t been ‘broken’ until Mollusk and his pal touched them.

If Miss Brown had still been there…

But Miss Brown had left before the work was complete, and Selma Rashford Grindley took over two months later.
