How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these.
George Washingtom Carver
What lessons do they learn
In the little moments
Where no words are said
But a gentle gesture of love is shown?
What lessons do they learn
When we speak of Jesus
Not in a distant way
But as an Abba Daddy
For the children
Who are foreign to
Hugs from a Daddy?
What lesson do they learn
When we feed them not
Only in the body
But in the Spirit
With words
Of love and encouagement?
What lessons do
We teach
When we listen to Bible Stories
By Children
Mixed with Superman
And Spiderman stories?
What lessons do we teach
When we show in actions
Of love
And try to live
As Christ lived
But at the same time
Letting them know that
Mistakes are okay
And can be forgiven?

Great poem, and a very good question!
Thank you, my time as a Children’s Ministry teacher was so enriching!
Very true. Children need us as parents and adults, so many forget that.
Yes they do, my time as a Children’s Ministry Leader taught me so much!
Wonderful!
Thank you!
