Wall moldings are more an attribute of the classical interior. When I say moldings, the interlocutors most often imagine the artwork with high ceilings, large windows, parquet floors, and white flowers modeled of white plaster.

The moldings are very popular in Slavic countries. Russian portals that write the theme of the interior, are overloaded with the pictures of all kinds of moldings and carvings. The Russians love to show the wealth, and the moldings perfectly illustrate that luxury. The fact that they like to overload with moldings is also true – the luxury is important to them.

Moldings and other ornaments are also popular in the West, but quite the opposite than in the east, here, the moldings are used to preserve the old historical authenticity and heritage. In Western Europe, the constraint classics is very popular, it is also adapted to contemporary interiors. And the moldings here occupy a respectable position.

In my opinion, molding is a great decor, and you do not need to forget it, you can and should use it. Not everyone worships clean and cold modernism, many tired of faceless cold interiors. The further, the more popular is a mix of styles. So why cannot moldings be used?

In the pictures below, you see moldings that are suitable for classics, for large spaces with large windows and luxurious parquet. With these details, the interior is very easy to reload and instead of the expected luxury, the result can be spoiled. But the proper use of moldings decoration creates an inimitable luxury.
