The French Stripes

Monday, April 27, 2020

I have always liked striped clothes, as well, although I am not French. But I do have a blue and white horizontal-striped long-sleeved bateau blouse with red velvet logo of Monaco, in which I bought as a souvenir from the French Riviera, one summer. I like striped blouses  because it has the nautical style that I always seem to wear during springtime. And, stripes are classic because they are basic enough to go well with different solid pieces.

But the French interest in stripes include:

  1. Blue and white horizontal striped blouses are very traditional French print.
  2. Simplicity–I have noticed that the French tend to dress very simple.
  3. Youthful–I agree with that too because I used to wear stripes more when I was a kid.
  4. Eye-catching
  5. Easy to wear for all seasons

It is most worn with denim pants and khaki trench coat. But it can also be worn with pleated skirts, nautical outfits, leggings, and shorts.
