The US has threatened to arrest judges and prosecutors of the World Criminal Court and stop financial assistance. US President’s Adviser John Bolton has declared the International Criminal Court to be unconstitutional and threaten for strict sanctions, including the arrest of judges. He also accused the court about discrimination with the Americans.
US adviser John Bolton said that if the World Criminal Court will take action against US, Israeli or allies military official, than they will not be silent. The US knows how to protect its citizens, volunteers and officers and our first priority is to protect our citizens.
John Bolton further said that if the decision was taken against American officers deployed in Afghanistan, then the World Criminal Court judges will be ban in the US and Judges and prosecutors will be arrested under the US system of justice, while financial aid to the World Criminal Court will also be dismissed.
The matter of imposing sanctions on the International Criminal Court has come out from america, when American officers in this court face cases against non-human behavior and abusive inmates in Afghanistan in 2016.
American Adviser for National Security is the stand on point, neither Afghanistan requested an investigation on the war crimes from the International Criminal Court nor did any other country who signed a court charter asked the case to run the case, therefore, this court is not authorized to hear this case.
In response to Bolton statement, the International Criminal Court has taken a stance and said that the court has the right to prosecute genocide, war crimes and humanity in any troubled area in the world or during the war.
Be clear In 2002, the World Criminal Court was set up to investigate genocide, war crimes and humanity, and to provide justice to the victims. 123 countries including the UK, joined the court, but the United States itself has been separately separated.
