Movie Review Star Wars Episode 4

(image, original movie post-Star Wars Episode 4).

In 1975 we lived in a much smaller world. Smaller in that we didn’t have the explosion of social media. Movies were often word of mouth. To me, that was the true reality of viral communication. That said, most of my friends were heavily into Science Fiction, and the long-anticipated movie from Geoge Lucas seemed to be something we were all going to be interested in.

Initially, I have to say seeing that it was Episode 4, I was worried that there was a lot of catching up to me, I had missed the first three films in the series. Later I found that it was simply used as a placeholder.

Star Wars, the movie, introduced us to two things.

  1. Incredible CGI
  2. A new world

If I weren’t honest I would say I went once, was blown away by the movie and that was that.

I went many more times than once to the movie. I think while it was still in the theaters I went 3 or 4 times.

I have seen every single one of the movies since that first one.

I give Star Wars Episode IV, a 5 out of 5.

It is the film that launched an empire!
