“He Kane Hewa’ole” is episode fourteen of season one of Hawaii Five-0 and begins with Kono and Chin out in Chin’s old patrol neighbourhood, when they hear about a car chase in the near vicinity. Joining in, they follow until the chased car wrecks itself trying to avoid some stingers. A cardboard box flies out of the car, and there’s blood on it.
The chase started with a routine traffic stop, but the man pulled over fled. He dies at the scene of the accident, and the cardboard box contains a man’s severed head.
McGarrett thinks that the man is innocent, and was merely transporting the head for the real killer. The dead man’s wife is also missing.
This episode’s name means “An Innocent Man”.
