Book Meetup Hangout

Thursday, 10.14.21

At 5 pm, I dropped by the UTC ATM before going to my usual gas station for $20 gasoline. The gas price remained the same for the past couple of weeks  at $4.499 for 4.445 gallons. I then drove to the Woodbridge Village Center for the Book Meetup Group. Since I was early, I went inside Circle K to buy a cup of their coffee because I was wondering if it is really the “best coffee” as their huge banner is promoting. The weather also felt a little cool. I bought a medium cup of Caramel Macchiato for $1.60. It was tasty and creamy–good for $1.69. I drank it fast to warm up while waiting for the rest of the people to show up. There were two other people already there. 18 people showed up, and we used up 2 long outdoor tables.

I am reading the 3rd novel of the Stieg Larsson trilogy–The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest. I need to read it more, but I am just reading on Thursday evening.

The Woodbridge Village Center is very active with families and kids. Some people left at 9 pm. Other stayed to play a board game I have never heard of. It has something to do with birds and harvesting.

On my way to my car, I stopped to play a man’s shih-tzu because the dog reminded me of my 3 late shih-tzus. The streets were well-lighted and quiet.
