4 Hours of Workout Day

Friday, 1.7.22

Today, I worked out four hours–two hours at the gym in the morning and two hours at a walking meetup in the evening.

For a change, I decided to do one hour of Zumba class at the gym, before sitting in the steam room and sauna. Then, I cycled on the stationary bicycle for thirty minutes.

I arrived home to enjoy a hot cacao drink with a tablespoon of vegan creamer and a bowl of salad.

Then, at 5:30pm, I drove to the Woodbridge Village Center for the walking meetup. I walked 4.7 miles, 12,305 steps, and 3 floors. It was cold and a little windy, but I was wearing a hoodie sweatshirt, puffy jacket, homemade scarf, earmuffs, legwarmers, and mittens. I also wore my Barefoot sneakers with some toe-separators. By the end of the walk, I felt hot and a little sweaty.

I returned home and went on the internet. I noticed an announcement that Sidney Poitier had died on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 94. The cause of death is unknown or not known yet. Born on February 20, 1927 in Miami, Florida, Sidney Poitier was a Bahamian-American activist, ambassador, actor, and director. In 1964, he was the first African-American actor, as well as Bahamian actor to win an Academy Award for Best Actor. He has citizenship in The Bahamas. He died on January 6, 2022 at 94.
