This week I just purchased an American flag to hang in my window, which just happens to hang vertically. I did not want to disrespect the flag in any shape or form, and I wanted to hang it the right way. As for hanging the flag inside the union (stars) should be at the top to the observer’s left, which is featured in the picture; it should never be to the observer’s right while hanging vertical or horizontal.

Being a military veteran in all of course I wanted to do it the right way ; )
