Big Foot Cemetery in Northern Illinois

Yes, there really is a Big Foot Cemetery. It is located in rural McHenry County, Illinois, on Route 14 just south of the Illinois-Wisconsin border.

I doubt that the name has anything to do with Sasquatch. It probably comes from the Indians since the cemetery was established in 1840.

Hawver Gravesite (2014-09-12 12-12-19a)

Even though the cemetery was founded in 1840, you can see from the dates on this tombstone that not all of the people interred here date back that far. There were several tombstones with the Hawver name.

I used ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate 2018 to adjust the lighting and boost the contrast.
