Isaac took up a humdrum job, hired an inexpensive lawyer. When he asked about the baby, for surely it had been born, the lawyer had no information.
How could that be?
His lawyer could tell him nothing in that arena, but that he could see his daughter, Ayesha, every other weekend under supervision and Rosa was asking for child support. His little salary barely covered anything so he had to live in a cramped flat with his parents.
Isaac couldn’t comprehend why Rosa was asking nothing for the baby.
He then learned that the baby was not his.
Isaac was gutted by the divorce, but more, that the child his wife bore was not his.
