It was strange, Tricia mused, on the 4th day after the ‘Ollie-less’ month. She had never paid much attention to Ollie’s missives.
If someone she wanted to hear from posted, if there was an interesting news or social item, Ollie’s email came after.
Now, she missed his meaningless messages.
She reflected on his pattern.
How he’d write what seemed to be a thought provoking paragraph, and how, no matter what she wrote, he would reply with a set of amenities
As the month passed, she actually looked forward to the 20th; to see if he would write.
He didn’t.
