He was dancing with his girl, Hettie, spinning her around, huffing and puffing, as he did his salsa.
He heard a familiar laugh from his left, and glancing, saw his ex-wife, Maria with a man who could only be described as tall, dark and handsome. They were dancing, and the crowd was cheering them.
People were moving to the dance floor to see them, virtually pushing Matt and Hettie to the side.
People were cheering clapping, and the music ended, and there was applause.
Maria gave her brilliant smile; a smile he knew. A smile he’d received at points during their marriage.
Then she embraced her partner and they moved off the floor, although people were calling for an encore.
