After standing in complete confusion for ten minutes, Paul then jumped into his car and drove to the house where his wife’s mother and brother lived.
As he pulled up, he noticed an army of people he would have named ‘their’ friends. These were people he’d seen at his wedding those years ago. They raced towards him as he stepped from the car.
He couldn’t understand what was happening.
Didn’t understand what they were saying why they had sticks.
He didn’t realise Kushi knew, when she told him the marriage was over and she was not returning that this would happen. That he would come to this house. And she would have her ‘army’ to defend her.
Paul didn’t realise this had been planned since the day of the wedding.
