Abusers have no friends.
There are people who know them, may have to associate with them for business reason, but are not and never will be friends with them.
These are not victims, these are outsiders who pick up something twisted and don’t care enough to find out what it is, just step back.
The strange ‘rules’ or ‘restrictions’ the abuser applies to himself when he doesn’t have a victim, repels those who are in the ambit.
The way he thinks, or talks, or sees the world, is just that bit off centre so that one who isn’t in love with him, or impressed with him, steps away.
The fact he has no friends, should warn others who and what he is.
