Connie had not expected this interlude to turn into a Master Class.
The older woman continued;
“Your school is a holding pen for brats. At a regular school, with normal kids, they’d be expelled. So they are there, and going no where in life. You’re wasting your time. They won’t accept a teacher, only a servant.”
“How do you know all this?”
“I’ve dealt with those people all my life. I’ve seen their posturing and pretention, their stupidity. I’ve watched them ripped off by everyone from their Attorney to their Gardiner.”
As Connie went to question the woman continued;
“I live in this world. Not on my cell phone, not in my fantasy but here, now, so I see and feel and am aware…”
Connie wanted to say something but couldn’t get the words out before the woman stood and said;
“Get a different job, deal with real people…” And she walked away.
