Mike wanting to continue his time with Emily so asked; “Going to see a movie tomorrow?”
Emily shook her head; “There’s a trade fair I want to check out… have you ever been?”
“No.”
“I go every year. They have new products, give samples of some things…”
Mike recalled hearing about it and that it would be held at a particular large and busy venue. If he went with Emily, he would be seen.
“It sounds interesting, but I’ve got a pile of chores to complete this weekend.”
Emily looked at him, nodded.
Whether she believed him or not, didn’t matter. The evening was over. It was obviously time to leave.
