Mike and Emily went up to the room about nine, and after using the bathroom, and changing, they went to their respective beds and sleep.
There had been no sexual tension, no romance. Just fun. Fun, companionship, friendship.
In the morning, they went down for a swim, then breakfast, then more sea and sun and relaxation. Neither wanted to hear about anything anywhere in the world. Neither wanted the deep gut chats or pronouncements. This was just an easy mini-vacation.
That Mike didn’t make it a sex thing. Emily didn’t do the long stares and pauses which would encourage that. The fact he could read her made Emily like him even more and just know he was the one.
