Eric took David everywhere. He ignored Steven. When Steven begged to come with him, if David agreed Eric would say; “If he comes you are responsible..”
After the first event, David no longer wanted Steven with them.
This pleased Eric for he considered Steven an embarrassment.
Sometimes, Eric would include Maggie, but not often. She was her mother’s daughter, had many friends, and often wasn’t even interested in where Eric was going.
The few times she went anywhere with her father, she behaved as a zombie, saying nothing, doing nothing, just getting through it without disruption.
