After a long twisted argument, the congregation, which Steven led, decided to hire a real leader.
Gleefully, Alvin scurried around to select someone as quickly as possible. He phoned his daughter and she recommended a particular guy.
As Alvin had gained control of just about everything at the religious institution (because no one else had wanted to do it), he was able to push Isaac Kapsan, “call me Kaps”, into the post.
It was pretty clear to the few intelligent members of the congregation that there was something wrong with Kaps.
Alvin was able to shut up/chase those members who questioned Kap’s ability.
When those members went to Steven as their ‘champion’, he attacked himself and defended Kaps.
