Barry liked the easy travel. It allowed him to slowly morph into the boy/man he wanted to be.
It was, in a way, a fantasy. Nothing on this trip was real or permanent. Like characters in a T.V. show.
He invented his new persona the day he got into the car, leaving Uglytown. No whines, no begs, just easy and cool, taking everything with a slight smile. He moved and tried to act as one of his T.V. Icons. Barry didn’t have the clothes in the style he wanted, but would get there.
He began to wear his hair differently, instead of brushed back he let some fall on his forehead. His mother thought he looked better that way.
