And Comes the Fourth Generation – 156

The most significant fact surrounding Selma Rashford Grindley was that the Board, which had appointed her in December, had absolutely no idea that she had taken to her bed in January.

The Board was unaware that Selma was incapable of doing anything by mid February.

The Board was unaware that the helper they paid a weekly wage, did absolutely nothing.

If Selma hadn’t deteriorated so much by April, Odette never would have alerted anyone.

That due to the disinterest and incompetence of the Board Members, Selma Rashford Grindley, who was dying,  was returned to Miriam House.  Returned to her ‘workplace’, where she lay dying from April to July 31st.

And the Board was paying her living expenses.
