The Industries You Might Not Realize Are Hiring Like Crazy

“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” This quote is often used when counseling those who aren’t sure about their job path, especially when they’re just starting out. The origins of this quote are still not known with certainty, but it’s still one of the most common pieces of advice you’ll hear related to job paths.

Choosing your career is extremely difficult. Plus, it can feel like each small decision has a huge amount of weight, as if one wrong pick can lead you down a completely wrong path. Luckily, this isn’t actually true. One “bad choice” doesn’t lock you into a career forever. Many individuals take a job, realize it’s not a good fit, and then find a different one. In even more extreme (but totally realistic) cases, some individuals will change to a completely different entire industry and job. If you truly do hate the job you’re in, and also aren’t that excited about a similar job somewhere else, it may be time to try out a new field completely. Lucky for you, there are certain industries that are hiring like crazy.

Here are the 5 industries to consider if you’re looking for a career change, or are just starting out in your career:

1. Healthcare

Jobs in the healthcare sector are open all around the United States. It’s the industry hiring the most in nearly every major U.S. city, so clearly there is a lot of job opportunity there. Plus, you don’t necessarily need to go to medical school and become a doctor. There are plenty of other healthcare jobs to consider.

2. Information Technology and Services

This probably won’t come as a surprise to anyone who uses technology in today’s age. There is so much technological development that’s been happening, so naturally there are many I.T. jobs opening up around the nation. This is something to consider if the technical side of things piques your interest.

3. Construction

Working outdoors may not be for everyone, but the career options within this industry are actually quite vast. Check out what paths might be a good fit for you — you might be surprised to find something perfect for you!

4. Real Estate

Real estate is another industry that provides a lot of job variety. You could work for (or be) a real estate developer, you could work on the financial side, or you could be a real estate agent. There’s plenty to explore related to property sales and leasing.

5. Health, Wellness, and Fitness

With America’s recent obsession with healthy living, it’s no surprise that jobs within the health, wellness, and fitness industry are open around the nation. If you love being at the gym or are passionate about health foods, this might just be the right career path for you.

The lesson to learn here is to never make assumptions about what another industry is like. There is a multitude of jobs within every industry, so if you aren’t sure about your next career move, it’s best to research all of the options available to you. You may end up loving a career you never expected you would!
