Mike is the Boss From Hell. Everyone in the office hates him. It is pretty clear from all the pictures on the hall and the so-called awards and accreditation, he has an inferiority complex.
The only way Mike can make himself feel equal is to demean others. After many years he finally roped in some one of his status, Dale, who thought she would be an equal, not an employee.
In the belief this was a partnership, Dale worked hard. It didn’t take her long to appreciate she was there not to work but to be Mike’s victim. Her response was to un work. Her respond to his insults was to prove them right. Dale would be stupider than he was.
Because she was totally demotivated, courtesy of Mike, she worked less and spent most of the day doing virtually nothing.
When she had to leave the office she took her time coming back. She never answered the phone outside of her working hours when he called. And when she decided she had enough, just walked out. She didn’t say a word. Just took her things and left. Aware he was a Boss From Hell, and Abuser, Dale developed protocols to protect herself.
That is true since knowing how to take care of yourself can assist you to beat your rival,
being able to identify an abuser is very important.
People who use their word power to harm others do not know that paybacks will be coming to them one day.
But sometimes it takes so very long
I know what you mean since there is a Christian saying that goes “You need to have the patience of Job when dealing with God dealing His correction on your enemy.”
If one is aware then s/he can protect themselves.
You are correct on this matter.
