My steps move ahead
up the hill
slight rocky
and so much green
a cool wind blows
as my steps rejuvenate
trees sway
and hill birds
fly and swoop
Sun is yet to break the horizon
so there is a slight shiver in the air
my mind is now clear
thinking straight
now legs screech a bit
as sweat beads break out
I wipe forehead
then take the last step
I am on a plateau
where my favorite flat rock awaits
seated there
with an oak swaying behind
I inhale the oxygen that runs across
I view the world
in the valley
as it is about to get up!
