Casual was encounter

with love

my dream lady

sat there rather glum

overwhelmed was I

at the prospect of

meeting her

after weeks of having gone

she was lost in her own song

our eyes met

I saw a curl of lips

smirk of nose

shrinking of cheeks

and a glint in her eyes

spewing some hatred

brain captured an image bad

I was only a lad

brain connected to heart

and snap of love mirror did start

months later she collapsed in my arms

filling them warm, pecking me strong

locking eye to eye

in which misgivings all dissolved !
