now brown

in worries of solutions

that run haywire

with no one to satisfy

my pet cat is far happier

gurgling her salver of warm

and a piece of salmon on chew

what is respite

and what is peace

are two unknown words

each morsel

slips down the neck

without mind recognizing it at all

then, it is forgetting so many things

what with pinpricks from the greens of life

now brown!
