as does the cab
a combo
that takes me to a rigmarole
hurriedly gulped breakfast
equally pell-mell steps
precede it all
I hurt my mind a bit
timing the exit
to a routine
that hangs steady

papers, documents
incessant talks
about papers
and a white lot
reams of them
in books, files
and digital records
a break of a small lunch
followed
by a bloated
psyche
still trying to
struggle
with documents
and their contrive
loose, shred,
collate, flip
and pore
and shuffle
these papers
may turn
in a fixed money
and I stay blue
and so blue
that by five
I try
all and any cheers
but nothing
seems perked up
then, work politics
ensures
that some have
stung you deep
with a forlorn
face and thought
you turn back
to the tube
and then the cab
who cares
that is life
of people
rather well set!
