I managed to have some spare time while headed to work to stop in at Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park where there are 60 + of these unique looking sculptures. My most recent share from this park was ‘Observatorio del la Imaginacion’ by Luis Torruella which you can view here. Today’s feature is titled ‘Metalmatic by Kari Reardon. I have visited this park several times, and every time I see Metalmatic I instantly think blob. Per, Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park the artists goal with this was to take a hard man-made material and transform it into a soft billowing form that has a feeling of growth and movement.
As for this photo it was taken with a Samsung Galaxy S8, and shared as part of the 365 Photos Challenge, which the rules and guidelines are listed if you would like to participate.
That’s a very unusual work indeed!
