Surface is dry

Stomach well fed

Mice dead

Lazy

Sleepy

Yet upright

So that

It proves that it is a pet

Waiting for the time

When owner would be gone

Then it will sneak in a corner

Obscure and doze tight

But plans are otherwise

Pet dog lunges

And a Chase

Snaps

Cat’s lazy plans!
