Watch this mixed media artwork of grain elevators in Alberta be created in just 5 minutes!
This is done on a 7.25×11 inch piece of pine wood. It combines both pyrography and acrylic paint to create a one of a kind piece of art!
My process to make these pieces is as follows:
Draw on the lines with pencil
Burn in the lines my wood burning tool
Paint in the spaces
Burn the edges of the wood with a torch
Seal the piece with a clear gloss covering
The original is for sale on my website: https://www.briansloanartist.com/product/grain-elevators-wood-burn-acrylic-painting

You need talent and patience to do such piece of art. Not everyone can do this!

love the series!
I grew up in the midwest of the US, grain elevators were everywhere. Happy memories!
That’s awesome! They are pretty cool buildings!
they are we used to count grain elevators on the way from Indianapolis to Chicago. Not many near the highway but once you get off the main road they are all over!
