Worker's Shanty Houses in Unadilla Georgia

While driving down a country road near Unadilla, Georgia we passed these amazing tiny houses. They were along the road in a Pecan Tree orchard and had wooden clapboard sides and metal tin roofs. They had two doors and one chimney so they were actually tiny duplexes.  Walking around them, there was no evidence of any water pipes, electricity or gas lines ever. These teeny tiny houses were apparently from the mid-1800’s and were probably slave quarters back in the day. There were two of them in a row. It was both fascinating and chilling at the same time to see.
