Ghostwriter
We lived in a very small town. A man traveling across country was in a car wreck and passed away. He had a dog with him. My father reached out to the family and they said they had no interest in the dog. So he became a part of our family.
Several years later we needed to move to a town and the dog would have to be kept in a kennel of on a leash at all times. We made the decision that he would stay there with my grandparents. I cried and cried. The dog passed away two weeks after we left. Granddad said that he believed the dog passed away from a broken heart.
This song brought me full circle today from many, many years ago.
