Steven and Maggie knew that David was the favourite and their father ‘didn’t like them.’
Maggie knew Daddy liked her better than Steven but never spoke it. She didn’t have to. Steven knew his father ‘hated’ him.
Once he actually cried about it; alone, where no one could see him.
