Metra Train Conductor During a Stop at the Morton Grove Station (2019-03-16 13-06-03d)
The photo was taken at the Morton Grove Metra Station in Morton Grove, Illinois (Cook County). It is on the Milwaukee District-North line.
I used a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera to take the photo. Editing was done with ACDSee Ultimate 2019. I used the ‘Urban’ action from the Architecture collection. This action This action adjusts the Light EQ, Levels, increases the contrast, adjusts the Hue in the yellows, greens and cyans, adjusts the white balance, increase the clarity, add a slight bit of the orton effect, dehaze, sharpen and reduce the noise. Then I added a vignette.

Beautiful image friend Gary
Thank you very much for your kind words. I appreciate it.
Nice image of the conductor and the train. It was one of my late dad’s jobs that he worked in the Panama Canal Railroad after his service during World War II in the Pacific Theater in 1942.
My father fought in the Pacific as well. He fought in the Philippines. After the Japanese surrendered he was in Japan for a while and then was sent to Germany after they surrendered.
Thank you for sharing your dad’s story.
After talking about this my wife and I were doing some cleaning and came across my father’s military records.
That is a very good idea.
Love this photo Gary, what a great perspective. Would make good advertisement.
Thanks, Carol. I appreciate it. I shared it on Twitter and included Metra so, if they like it, they can contact me. It would be nice.
