Illinois Beach State Park is located in Zion, Illinois (Lake County), on the shore of Lake Michigan just a couple of miles south of the border with Wisconsin. It is divided into two units – north and south – with a decommissioned nuclear power plant between the two.
Kellogg Creek is located in the North Unit.

The photo was taken using a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera. Editing was done using ACDSee Ultimate 2019. I adjusted the lighting, raised the contrast, clarity and increased the saturation in the blues, cyans, greens and yellows. Lastly I adjusted the tone curves.

This appears to be a mesmerizing place. I hope I’m able to visit it some day
It is very nice. If you do visit there are camping grounds and a hotel in the South Unit where you can stay in the park.
