Grand Staircase in the Illinois State Capitol Building

This is our end of the tour of the Illinois State Capitol Building in Springfield. I got to see the Grand Staircase but not go up it according to the guard. That was for tours only which I was not able to go on this time in Springfield. I would love to go up to the top of the rotunda/ dome and see it all close from up there.
