Its that time of the year again, school is in and those little ones bring home all types of nasty stuff, mostly the common cold.
Today the common cold is not called the common cold but upper respiratory infection or a sinus infection and as it seems most all the time antibiotics are given out for this, but I am old school and I know that after it takes its course of fourteen days it`ll be gone without diving into that bottle of pills.
Yes! You are contagious, you can spread those germs around to all the members of the household. So what to do?
Actually, I have this germ phobia so me being sick is like a living hell. I am washing my hands even more so not to have my germs everywhere.
This is what I have found that works for me and I am sure it will for you.
First thing that everyone needs to do is change their pillow case daily. Each day you can be in a different stage and one step closer to being well again, we do not want to continue to sleep on a pillow case that has yesterdays germs on it. Next, make sure that you disinfect your toothbrush! Set a cup in the bathroom and fill with Listerine, let your toothbrush soak, when you are well just toss out the old toothbrush and buy a new one, better to be safe than sorry with a relapse. Telephones, remotes and keyboards are just nasty whether you have a cold or not so its a good idea to wipe those down often with Clorox or Lysol wipes, you`ll be amazed at how dirty those wipes will be. Handles, who do you know that wipes off door knobs, refrigerator handle, deep freeze handle, and the toilet handles? Yes, we touch those daily and many, many times. Another huge place that is often over looked is the car. We are in this little space and we wipe and blow and touch EVERYTHING while driving. Give the car a good wipe down, you`ll be happy you did when no one is sick anymore. I am not sure if people understands how much money it costs to be sick and that is money I would prefer to spend on something besides medication and lets not even mention those days lost at work!

Great reminders for everyone to adhere to. Tis the season.
Yes, it’s time to get all the cleaning goods out and clean, clean clean. I have wipes all over the house during cold season.
Me too and in the car. I see someone cough and I go the other way.
