Paintdrips
This girl used to work in the office of our apartment complex. She was kind enough to pose for some photos for me to work with for art classes. I brought hats, shawls, and an umbrella. The photos helped me so much but I’m still using them for other things, like inspiration for this collage.
I start with a sketch in pencil and then I begin my search for just the right colors from stacks of magazines and catalogs. Sometimes I can’t find the color I’m looking for so I use other similar values instead. The orange on the cheeks works because it is the right value I’m looking for if not the right color hue. I have laid out my progress here.
