Here we have gone into the Aviation Museum near Robins Air Force Base in Georgia and we find a dizzying array of both older and newer planes. This was one of my favorites, a P-51 Mustang called “HeatWave”. These planes were sleek and fast with a 12 cylinder engine. In the photo below you can see airmen bringing ammunition out to a similar plane. The sheet metal on the ground is the engine cover for the other side.
