Serbian Woodstock! Serbia’s Gucha trumpet festival!

The trumpet festival in the village of Gucha (163 km southwest of Belgrade) is a unique holiday, visited by hundreds of thousands of people each year, who are guaranteed good time and craziness until dawn. Imagine what it looks like when through a city of 1,000 people, 500,000 tourists pass for five days, drink over 1,000,000 liters of beer, several tons of various other drinks and eat a couple truck a great “wedding cabbage” and grilled meat. And all of this, with over 50 orchestras, day and night, tirelessly entertain guests, who are located under hundred big tents in the meadows of the beautiful Serbian town of Gucha.

People at the table, people on the table, people under the table. Everything is allowed for five days of joy, songs, games, meals and drinks. And the sounds of the trumpet are beneficial to the human organism and remove any form of stress, worry and psychological problems.

This is the most important revue of original folk creation and cultural amateurism in Serbia, and the only manifestation of trumpeting as a form of original folk art.Folk art exhibits by self-taught folk artists – painters, sculptors and rare craftsmen, ethnological and historical exhibitions are organized and the most beautiful folk costume is chosen.

All homes are open to old and new friends. With hospitable hosts, traditional folk dishes and good drinks, good health and mood will last for months later. That’s why guests are mostly returning again, and the number of visitors is increasing every year.
