Here is something that I think of when I hear people talk about DNA and of course, I’m no scientist. They use DNA to get convictions in court cases. Henry Louis Gates Jr. uses DNA to help people trace their roots. Well! If we use DNA to cure genetic diseases, aren’t we altering a person’s DNA? If you can alter DNA in any way, how can it be used to prove crimes or to tell somebody who their ancestors were? How do we know the DNA wasn’t tampered with? Just sayin’. It’s stuff I think about.
